I have been studying
Box Hap Ju Sul for 2 years, and it's helped me gain my
confidence. I was once a victim of a close call. It started
out as a simple dating relationship and ended up almost
a date rape case. I was very lucky that my father walked
in, and took care of this guy real quick. Today I will
not tolerate another incident against my will. From know
own I will study Box Hap Ju Sul and be prepared to defend
myself when that time comes. As an attractive female,
I have to watch from the corners of my eye. Thanks to
Master Wayne for teaching me the proper techniques of
survival. Master Wayne is a great instructor, and he
is very patient with his students. He also says he loves
beautiful attractive females that are capable of defending
them self. He always smiles and says, "She can hurt
you, so behave!” and I agree. I want to be an Instructor
so I may teach females one day. I will continue my martial
arts for a lifetime.

I have always
wanted to study martial arts. I use to be addicted to
drugs, and now I have better ways to spend my time. I
also want to be the best, and own my own Box Hap Ju Sul
School under the blessing of Master Wayne.

Five years
ago a situation occurred and self-defense has become
important in my life. Also achieving all the belts is
an important goal to me.

I enjoy
the studies of Box Hap Ju Sul; it helps me to relieve
every day stress. I also take the classes for exercise,
and I find it to be most interesting.

I am a body
builder & Physical Fitness Instructor, I have found
that martial arts also has helped to create a great mental,
and physical endurance within me. Everyone should be
fit, and healthy; Box Hap Ju Sul ranks at the top of
the list with all of it.

I am married
with children, and I find studying Box Hap Ju Sul to
be very therapeutic. I enjoy my time in the dojang, and
I study hard, and someday I want to be a Box Hap Ju Sul

I’ve
practiced several styles of martial arts in the past.
I have to say that practicing the box-hap-ju-sul cane
techniques under Master Wayne has been more interesting
and more invigorating than other techniques I’ve
studied. Since I started learning his style of hapkido,
I can honestly say that I will never return to any other
style. Thank you Master Wayne.

I
am proud to be one of Wayne’s very first Black
Belts in Hapkido and Judo. I began my training in August
of 1984, in Houston, Texas, where Wayne's first karate
classes began. I was 32 years old. It took me five years,
as I was only going to class once a week, but I never
quit. I was 37 when I received my Black Belt in July
of 1989.
I'm now 52 and still doing karate, as it's been
my hobby and allowed me to stay in great shape. I've
been a court reporter for 28 years now, working in
criminal court most of those years, and even worked the
same court
with Wayne when he was a deputy sheriff working as
a court bailiff. Wayne's karate class has definitely
given
me the confidence and the know-how to catch or take
down a fleeing defendant in or outside the courtroom
in only
a few seconds.

Wayne
has a unique teaching ability for children and adults.
He is constantly studying new and improved karate
techniques for a faster and more effective martial
arts result in self-defense. In the past few years
since Wayne's move from Texas to Kentucky, I have
studied in several other martial art classes with
other instructors in the Houston area, none of which
have come close to Wayne's techniques and style,
and his dedication to his students.
There is not a day that goes by that I don't think
of karate, and I owe it all to Wayne. Last year, I went to a one-day karate seminar
given by legend Bill "Superfoot" Wallace (see above photo) and had
the opportunity to get my photo with Bill. He asked me to tell Wayne hello, as
they
are still
good buddies.

I
met Master Wayne as a police officer. Wayne has taught
me this wonderful style of Hapkido. It has enhanced
my confidence and in my line of work thats very important.
I am now capable to perform police work with even more
professionalism than before. The police academy teaches
hand to hand, although, it does not stress a long term
relation ship in the studies. I feel my studies in Box
Hap Ju Sul Hapkido has given me a new experience of
life. I today share my studies with others and teach
them this wonderful style of Martia Arts.

At
the age of three my dad started teaching me Tae Kwon
Do. I can remember following chalk lines on the ground
in order to learn the proper stances & walks. I
can remember the hours of tedious blocks & punches.
I can also remember how my dad would spend time “play
fighting” with me. At the time I didn't
realize how he was building a strong foundation for
the basics of my martial arts abilities. No mater how
rusty my techniques may get; I can make a come back
in a very short time, because the art is second nature
to me.
When I was introduced to Hapkido, I absolutely
loved it! I had never seen a style as graceful, powerful, or as devastating Hapkido.
As time progressed, I started to help teach the class. My job was to lead the
class in warm-ups, and basic kicks & punches. I would help teach the lower
belts, and I was often the person whom Master Wayne would demonstrate on.
I am now married, with three beautiful children.
Most of my spare time is spent as Cubmaster for my sons Cub Scout pack, and as
a student at the local college. The grace of God, and my experience that I received
in martial arts have helped me to have the confidence to tackle any obstacles
that life may have.
I highly recommend the art of Box Hap Ju Sul; it
combines three of the greatest fighting techniques, into one beautiful & devastating
art. And as for my dad Master Wayne, there is nothing in this world that he is
better at than teaching martial arts.
